Dog Training Evaluation
A training evaluation is often the first step toward choosing the right program for your dog at Certified Canine Services. During your visit, we’ll learn more about your dog, your home environment, and the concerns you would like to address.
During the evaluation, we will ask questions about your dog’s behavior, daily routine, training history, and any challenges you would like to address. We will then explain what may be contributing to those behaviors and recommend the Syracuse dog training program that best fits your goals.
You’ll also have the opportunity to meet our trainers, tour the training environment, and ask questions before deciding which program is right for your dog.
Evaluations are a great starting point for concerns such as:
- Leash pulling

Puppy Consultation
The first few months of a puppy’s life lay the foundation for future behavior. Our puppy consultations give new owners the knowledge and confidence to build good habits from the start.
During your consultation, we’ll discuss your puppy’s behavior, answer your questions, and provide practical training strategies that you can begin using at home right away.

Puppy Development Program
Designed for puppies approximately 8–12 weeks old, our Puppy Development Program provides structured training during one of the most important stages of development. Programs range from one to four weeks depending on your puppy’s age, temperament, and individual needs.
Puppies stay in a structured home environment where they are exposed to people, children, other dogs, household activity, and everyday situations that help build confidence and appropriate social behavior.
Throughout the program we begin developing important life skills, including:
- Crate training
- Housebreaking
- Sleeping through the night
- Leash walking
- Appropriate chewing habits
- Socialization
- Handling and grooming
- Preventing jumping and possessiveness
By establishing structure and consistency early, puppies learn appropriate behaviors before unwanted habits become established.

Puppy Obedience Camp
For puppies under six months old, our Two-Week Puppy Obedience Camp is designed to build a solid obedience foundation while addressing common puppy behaviors.
During the program, your puppy learns:
- Sit
- Heel with automatic sit
- Place
- Free
- Responding to “No”
- Better leash manners
- Reduced jumping and play biting
This program is ideal for new puppy owners who want to establish clear expectations and build reliable obedience early in their puppy’s development.
$2,000 + applicable taxes
Travel Options for Puppy Training
Professional puppy training should be accessible even if you don’t live near our facility. We work with families throughout Syracuse, Central New York, and surrounding areas by coordinating transportation for qualifying residential puppy training programs.
Our team can help arrange safe pickup and return transportation based on your location and your puppy’s training program. Every travel plan is coordinated individually to provide a comfortable experience for both you and your puppy.
